NOTE:
The downloadable AVI files below were all created using AGPM’s OLE link
to HyperCam, a shareware program you can
register for less than $50.
Hypercam v1.51 is the version that works with AGPM, and is available here.
Residence time in 3
waterbodies (3.5MB zip file)
Animation of
reservoir “age”. Reservoir
age is initially zero and all inflow has age zero. Age at each location in the reservoir is
incremented by 1 timestep on each timestep, and age is subject to transport just like any
other constituent. This produces a
movie of cell residence time that provides insight on where the water in the
reservoir is spending its time

Zone marking
in Degray (1.2MB zip file)
Animation of DO and
temperature with “zone marking”.
Highlighted zone with border shows region of reservoir where
temperature is 18<T<26 and DO>3 mg/L. Zone marking can be used to highlight a
region of special significance, such as a particular habitat, ecological
zone, or limnologic zone of the reservoir.

Viewing Movies
To view the movies
above, download the .zip file and unzip with WinZip or other zip
utility. The .zip file expands to an
AVI file (“.avi” extension) that is
about 5 times the size of the zip file.
Find the AVI file in Windows Explorer and dbl-click to run Windows
Media Player or other AVI viewer on the file.
On some versions of Windows, you may have better results by running
mplayer2.exe or mplayer.exe (in \windows folder), then opening the AVI file from
that viewer.
